Applications | Advanced Electronics Lubrication & Connector Protection
PPE connector lubricants, base fluids, vacuum fluids, and optical fluids for high-reliability electronic systems.
Most electronic failures in the field start at a contact. Vibration and temperature swings wear through plating, oxide builds up, and resistance creeps until a signal drops out. SantoLubes ACCL® connector lubricants form a stable, non-spreading PPE film that stops that cycle while leaving conductivity intact. Billions of contacts have been protected by ACCL® and PPE products over more than 30 years.
Our advanced electronics portfolio includes ACCL® connector lubricants, SantoLubes® PPE-derived connector fluids, SantoVac® vacuum fluids for electronics manufacturing, SantoLight™ optical fluids for optoelectronic assemblies, and SantoRad™ fluids for radiation-exposed hardware. All are built on PFAS-free polyphenyl ether (PPE) chemistry.
30+ Years of Field Heritage
Electronics now run in vehicles, aircraft, outdoor cabinets, and data centers, under constant vibration and thermal cycling, for service lives measured in decades. Contacts, connectors, and assemblies need protection that lasts as long as the device. SantoLubes technologies help support:
Match corrosion protection, contact stability, thermal performance, and process cleanliness to each part of your electronic system.
Electronic systems need different fluid behaviors across connectors and contacts, high-temperature components, manufacturing equipment, and optoelectronic assemblies. SantoLubes offers PPE technologies matched to each.
For electronics that need extreme stability in heat, oxidation, radiation, or chemical exposure.
Low-backstreaming fluids for vacuum equipment in electronics manufacturing and test.
Optical-grade PPE fluid for optoelectronic, display, and sensor assemblies.

Note: Product selection depends on contact materials and plating, connector design, temperature range, vibration, environmental exposure, application method, and qualification requirements.
Mated contacts are never perfectly still. Vibration and thermal cycling move them against each other by microns, thousands of times a day. That motion wears through the plating and builds up oxide debris, which insulates the contact. Resistance rises until the connection drops in and out, often in a way that never shows up on the bench.
ACCL® keeps a 15–20 micron PPE film between the surfaces. It reduces the friction that drives the motion, keeps out the oxygen that forms oxides, and gets displaced at the actual metal-to-metal contact points so conductivity stays intact. Depending on the product, ACCL® covers -55°C to 370°C and reduces mating force by up to 60%.

Answers to common questions about SantoLubes technologies in advanced electronics applications.
Electronic systems use connector lubricants to protect contacts from corrosion and fretting, high-stability PPE fluids for extreme-heat or radiation-exposed hardware, vacuum pump fluids for manufacturing and test equipment, and optical fluids for optoelectronic assemblies. SantoLubes covers these needs with ACCL®, SantoLubes® OS-124 and OS-138, SantoVac®, and SantoLight™ technologies.
Fretting corrosion happens when vibration or thermal cycling moves mated contacts against each other by tiny amounts. The motion wears through plating and builds up insulating oxide, which raises contact resistance until the connection becomes intermittent. ACCL® keeps a durable PPE film between the surfaces that reduces friction, keeps out oxygen, and keeps the contact interface clean.
No. ACCL® is displaced at the actual metal-to-metal contact points under normal mating pressure and stays in place across the surrounding surface. The result is low, stable contact resistance with long-term protection from corrosion and fretting.
Yes. ACCL 53T conforms to Telcordia GR-78, GR-317, and GR-121, the standards for reliability and performance of telecommunications equipment and connectors.
Yes. ACCL® and our other electronics products are built on polyphenyl ether (PPE) chemistry, which is not a PFAS compound. As PFAS rules expand across electronics manufacturing, PPE gives teams a way to reduce fluorinated chemistry without giving up performance. Learn about PFAS Alternatives.
Yes. Our team can review contact materials, plating, temperature range, vibration, and application method to recommend or help develop the right product. Custom formulation and private-label work is available through our affiliate, SantoTolling.
