Custom Tolling & Contract Manufacturing

SantoTolling®

SantoTolling supports complex chemical manufacturing at scale. Through SantoLubes’ affiliate, customers move from development to full-scale production using infrastructure, equipment, and technical depth already in place — without the cost and delay of building it themselves. We synthesize, blend, and process a broad range of chemistries under an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality system.

FAQ

Expert guidance and resources to help you find the right solution.

What is chemical tolling?

Chemical tolling is an arrangement where a manufacturer processes your raw materials or formulation into a finished product using its own equipment, facilities, and technical expertise. Through SantoTolling, SantoLubes provides tolling and contract manufacturing so you can add production capacity without building and maintaining it internally.

SantoTolling operates on a 66-acre facility site with over a dozen specialized buildings, outfitted with 19 reactors, 33 vessels, and 67 tanks. The facility produces and supplies up to 1.2 billion pounds annually for partners worldwide.

The facility is ISO 9001:2015 certified and holds ChemStewards, EPA Registered Establishment, and FIFRA registrations, along with Kosher and Halal certifications.

We serve agriculture, automotive, aviation, cleaning, electronics, lubricants, oil and gas, paint and coatings, petrochemical, pulp and paper, and specialty chemical industries, among others.

Yes. The facility includes pilot reactors and supports development, scale-up, and full production in a single operational environment. On-site warehousing and bulk storage help shorten lead times and reduce costs.

Reaction capabilities include alkoxylation, alkylation, amidation, chloromethylation, condensation, diazotization, epichlorohydrin reactions, esterification, hydrogenation, polymerization, quaternization, reductive amination, transesterification, and general synthesis.
